President Bush slipped to his career low in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll.
According to a new poll, the Bush's approval rating has dramatically dropped. 82 percent of Americans now say the country's seriously off on the wrong track. Those are record numbers and shows how much the Iraq War and the weakening economy is hurting Bush.
The timing of the poor numbers could hardly be worse. In the past two years, Democrats have taken control of the Senate and the House and are poised to take the Trifecta by capturing the Whitehouse in the fall. The numbers could also affect current House and Senate Republicans who are in danger of losing their once safe seats to Democrats.
2 out of 3 Americans do not believe the war in Iraq is worth fighting and consumer confidence has gone down due to worries about the economy. $4.00 a gallon gas and rising food prices are also taking their toll on working class families.
