John McCain Outlines First Term-(Part 1 of 4)

Today, John McCain detailed what he envisions achieving as President by the end of his first term in 2013.

John McCain will put the national interest ahead of partisanship to build an America that is safer, freer and more prosperous than when he was elected.

When John McCain is President, the era of the permanent campaign will end. He will work with anyone who wants to get this country moving again and will listen to any idea intended to solve our problems, not make them worse.

In forming government policy, John McCain will work with members of Congress from both parties.
John McCain's administration will set new standards for transparency and accountability.

John McCain will not leave our problems for another unluckier generation of Americans to fix after they have become even harder to solve.

John McCain also outlined his views on presidential power. The President's powers are rightly checked by the other branches of government, and John McCain will not attempt to acquire powers granted to Congress. He will exercise his veto but not subvert legislation through statements.

John McCain is a senior man in the senate. Give him a chance of
running this country over the other two.

How is it that the Democrats have this election sewed up. McCain has
a difficult time of closing the gap at the polls. It is a problem for
me to believe that the country views have been changed over a short
period of time. This country has gotten crazy over liberal views for
universal health care which is impossible to make happen across this
country and the people are demanding it. Change is not needed but a
change in our economy to grow it, lower taxes, and increase the
standard of living. Not this nonsense of give give give me. Stop it,
it is ruining this country.

What is wrong with having a Black president. America is due for some
time to have one. Obama will do fabulous things for America. The
change will make America proud to stand by him.

McCain does not stand a chance in the general election. America is
going to get shocked and have a Black President.

This election is outrageous that the Democrats can not decide on the
candidate until now. Obama will run and defeat McCain on the issue
of change. What is funny is how much change does America need.

I am sorry for John McCain. The polls always show him losing to
either of them. Yet he wants to be president and served many years in
the Senate working for the people. The polls show that he loses by
about ten points. It tells you what the Democrats have as power.

I think that John McCain will make a fine president if elected.

Its a joke when you listen to Obama and Clinton they are about
liberal policies that destroy this nation. That is the change that
they want for us not what the country needs. Go hear what they
campaign about. All lip no truths.

The American people will be shortchanged if Obama or Clinton wind up
in the whitehouse. From your poll it looks like that. Its sad that
John McCain with such proud and distinguishable background has to
fight to get elected while the other two are loved when they
represent the last thing Americans need from them.

Two Cheers for John McCain. After listening to Hillary and Obama I am
happy that the American people have another choice to choose from.

Posted by Steve on 5/15/2008 12:42:35 PM
I think that John McCain wants to be a great president that will make
our country strong and proud. People will love to have him in the
whitehouse. He is willing to work with both parties in government.
