Bush Compares Appeasing Iran to Appeasing Hitler

President Bush delivered a speech in Israel, saying: There are good and decent people who cannot fathom the darkness in these men and try to explain away their words. It's natural, but it is deadly wrong. As witnesses to evil in the past, we carry a solemn responsibility to take these words seriously. Jews and Americans have seen the consequences of disregarding the words of leaders who espouse hatred. And that is a mistake the world must not repeat in the 21st century.

Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided." We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.
Spokepersons for President Bush say the speech was not directed at any one particular person. Some people have speculated he was talking about Barack Obama who has said he would meet with the President of Iran with no preconditions.

something to prove.

The President said it like it is. The reaction is
hilarious. We all know the party of mud slinging and snide remarks
is the Democrats. How many Republicans run around being
over-opinionated about politics lkike the Dems do? The Republicans
have more class than that. Hillary and Obama have pratically mud
slinged eachother right out of the race. McCain is just sticking to
the facts representing himself with class and honor and letting the
Dems turn offf the public with their public slander on television, on
the radio, in debates, etc. Speaking from a Minnesota standpoint, we
all remember the Wellstone Memorial service. Pawlenty and Norm
Coleman just stuck to the facts while the Dems turned off the public
as usual.

I am proud that President Bush stated that we must remember the past
leaders who had dangers words to the world. With the world changing
we must now focus our energies to the Middle East and keep a strong
but understanding policy to deal with the people of the Middle East.
The loss of our world trade center was wrong and terrorism is wrong.
We must make it clear to the Arabs but we must embrace the Arabs
governments to work with a peaceful dialog.

Obama is suppose to be a muslim, in all hopes if elected then he will
propel our country image with openess to the Arab world.

Obama seems like the candidate that will change our Middle East
policy, a big change in foreign policy.

Where is Barack Obama position on the Middle East ???? Does he want
to send the troops home or is he just saying so to get elected. What
is the harm of Obama talking to the prime minister of Iran.
