Ed Rollins named Hucakbee National Campaign Chief
12/14/2007 2:45 PM
Rollins is no stranger to National Presidential races. Ed Rollins one of the most well known Republican strategists has been named Mike Huckabee’s national Campaign Chairman. Ed Rollins worked for Ronald Reagan as President Reagan’s National Campaign Director. He also was one of the architects of Christie Whitman’s stunning defeat of Jim Florio in the New Jersey Gubernatorial race. He did receive a lot of flack afterwards however about his claim of suppressing the black voter turnout through paying black ministers. He later said the entire events had been exaggerated. There is no question Rollins is a seasoned operative who will bring national credibility to the Huckabee campaign.

Democrats met last night in Iowa Debate
12/14/2007 2:30 PM
The Democrats met again last night to hash over the issues in the Iowa Presidential debate. The three main candidates exchanged some barbs but were mostly cautious.
The economy and the war are the main two issues going into the election but usually pocketbook issues usually prevail. The candidates all want to be the Candidate who represents change but is hard when all are or were in the US Senate which prides itself in being deliberate. Also Obama and Hillary both have an abundance of Clinton Administration staff in their compaigns and Hillary is the wife of a former President. Clinton Advisor Bill Shaheen also stepped down earlier in the day after his comments on Obama’s alleged past drug use.
